Hey Southland family!
Our Middle School students and leaders head to where Southland originated, Camp Kulaqua. Every summer Middle School students from all across Florida and the Southeast to get away for a week of great teaching, fun fellowship and excellent worship! Don’t miss out! Get signed up as soon as you can! Registration on this page covers entry to the retreat as well as food and lodging on the property.
As you can see, we have shifted our entire registration process and payment to online; we are finally with the times! As we make this transition, we did want to give you a rundown of how the registration process works. After clicking "Registration Now Open" on the High School Camp page on the Southland website, you will be brought to a separate registration page. This is where you have to decide between three options:
Option 1: Parents register your students (Credit Card)
- This option may be best for bigger groups that plan on attending.
- Parents put in all the information needed, as well as payment.
- The downside to this option is that your church may charge a little more than Southland does to help cover costs like transportation, leader costs, etc. In that event, you would have to find a separate way to collect addition money from your parents.
- Another downside is that you don't have the ability to go in and change things as needed. For example, a student can no longer attend due to a sports tournament and you would like to transfer their registration to another student who would like to go. The parents would have to be the ones to handle all of that.
Option 2: Youth Leaders register your students (Credit Card)
- This option may be best for smaller to medium size groups attending.
- Youth leaders or churches would have to manually insert every student that is registering. When you are inserting personal information before you get to the payment section, you have the option to add another registration. You can do this as many times as you need, and then do the payment section one time at the end.
- By doing it this way, you limit the work and efforts of the parents of students. But the downside is you will create a little bit more work for yourself as you enter in the personal information for each registering student.
Option 3: Youth Leaders register your students (Mail in a Check)
- With this option, you do NOT register online.
- This option may be best for bigger groups that plan on attending.
- Youth leaders or churches would have to manually insert every student that is registering on an emailed excel document from Southland.
- By doing it this way, you limit the work and efforts of the parents of students. The big advantage of this option is that you do not have to pay the credit card processing fees. But the downside is you will create a little bit more work for yourself as you enter in the personal information for each registering student on the excel document, as well as you will need to have the check in Southland's possession by the early registration deadline.
Whichever option you choose, we can send you a brief report whenever you need it of your church's registrations so you can see who has and who has not registered from your group. Thanks for your patience and grace as we enter into the 21st century with all of this. We know it will be a little bumpy in the beginning as we all figure it out, but believe it will be well worth it!
